Chapter 4: Demystifying the Rotator Cuff

When I was a baby aerialist, the only piece of information I understood about the rotator cuff was that I had to protect it at all costs. It was not a matter of IF I got a rotator cuff tear, it was a matter of WHEN. Never mind that I had no idea what the rotator cuff was or how it functioned, every time I felt a tweak, a throb, or a twinge anywhere within a five-mile radius of my shoulder, I would wonder, “is this my time?”
